There are many ways of getting to Zakopane. Bellow are the fastest and easiest ways of getting there.

Directions if you are already in Poland:

By car - take highway 7 from Kraków until you come to highway 95. Highway 95 will get you to the center of Zakopane.

By train - trains arrive in Zakopane from all major cities in Poland. We give you the time of travel from several cities: Warszawa (5-6 hrs), Gdansk (8-10 hrs), Poznan (7-8 hrs), Bialystok (9-10 hrs), Lodz (6-7 hrs), Lublin (8-9 hrs) Katowice (4-5 hrs), Krakow (2-3 hrs)

By bus -  since traveling by bus can be long and tiring. We suggest going by bus only from Krakow. The bus leaves on the hour from the PKS station travelling to Zakopane by bus takes about 2 hrs.

Travelling from out of country:

By car - from Krakow highway 7 to 95 take 95 to the center of Zakopane.

By plane - fly to Balice airport in Krakow or arrive at the international airport in Warszawa (Okecie) and from there take the train to Krakow (3-4 hrs).

By train - There are regular departures and arrivals between all the major cities in Europe and Krakow. Travel time from: Prague (8-10 hrs), Brno (8-10 hrs), Riga (18-20 hrs), Kosice (7-9 hrs), Berlin (8-10 hrs)
